Childs+Sulzmann Architects appointed for new Dyson facility

Childs+Sulzmann Architects have been appointed to provide design services on a new £1.7m prototyping facility at the Dyson headquarters in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

The project involves the installation of a new mezzanine structure and internal re-configuration of an existing building to create sophisticated, hi-tech prototyping workshop spaces.

“We’re delighted to be back working in the challenging, fast-moving world of Dyson where the working environment is continually evolving to meet the client’s technological ambitions,” comments Peter Sulzmann, Director, Childs+Sulzmann Architects.

Childs+Sulzmann are familiar with the exacting requirements of Dyson having recently been designers and lead consultants on a project to re-purpose existing laboratories and offices for the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET).  They also previously delivered a £2.5m conversion of a manufacturing facility to create laboratory space and have also worked on other Dyson sites, including listed buildings and conference facilities.
